A complete interior renovation of a mid-century modern apartment within Detroit’s iconic Mies van der Rohe–designed Lafayette Park. The project reconfigures spatial flow, enhances natural light, and introduces custom millwork, waterproof wide-plank wood flooring, and Italian white large-format tiles.
Balancing restraint and warmth, the design emphasizes openness and clarity while foregrounding craftsmanship in detail. Apartment 1307 becomes both a continuation of modernist ideals and a distinctly contemporary Detroit residence.
